I started learning how to crochet when I was in my early teens, but quickly gave up on it. Almost 7 years ago, when I first found out that I was expecting my first daughter, I decided I wanted to learn how to crochet, so that I could have something to keep my hands busy, when I didn't feel good enough to clean the house or do the dishes or something. I went to Walmart and bought a book with patterns, some hooks and yarn. It took 9 months and a few do-overs, but I ended up with a pretty good afghan. Since then I've lost track of how many projects I've done, mostly baby blankets, but I have taken pictures of most of them. I've also made some booties, and some other things, but recently I've started making beaded bracelets, and you wouldn't know it by looking at them, but yes, they are crocheted. I'm starting to teach myself how to knit, but so far, I still like to crochet a lot better.
So my sister suggested that I make a blog, to showcase my projects. When I talked to others about the idea they all agreed that it was a good idea. The problem is I don't know how to read a blog let alone make one, so here we are at square one, teaching myself how to do something new.
Here is a picture of that first afghan that I made. It was before I started taking pictures of my projects, so it is in the background of the photo.
Cool...can't wait to see more.
